“I took Math 128A in the summer. It helped me to satisfy my astrophysics elective requirement and allow me to graduate. I find the course to be helpful because it teaches you how to program Newton's method, Euler's method, Gaussian quadrature, Runge-kutta method and solve a matrix. I would say you are likely to get a better grade in this than in your physics and astrophysics courses because a lot of the problems in the weekly HW, quizzes and exams will be purely computational. There will be some tough proof questions.” – Andrew Hsu, former webmaster, recent Astrophysics graduate.
